FAQs

Below are the questions we hear most often.  If you have a question that is not answered below please contact us.

I’m new to Pilates, how do I get started?

Congratulations on starting your journey to health and wellness through Pilates! Whether you are interested in private sessions or small group classes, we highly recommend starting with a one-on- one consultation session so we can assess your individual needs and goals and introduce you to the Pilates equipment and exercises. You can contact us here to schedule your consultation session.

What should I wear to class?

For a Pilates class, you can wear whatever you feel comfortable working out in! We recommend wearing tighter fitting clothing so that your instructor can assess your alignment and ensure you are performing the exercises correctly. Socks with grips on the bottom are highly recommended, or bare feet are fine as well. Socks without grips on the bottom are highly discouraged. You do not need sneakers for Pilates classes. Please refrain from wearing jewelry that can get caught in the apparatus.

How many people are in a group class?

There are never more than six people in our small group classes, so you will always receive personalized attention and modifications as needed.

I’ve never done Pilates, can I join the group classes?

If you are new to Pilates but have some previous fitness experience and no injuries or limitations, you should be able to jump in to a group class with no problem. We do recommend trying out a private consultation session first so you can learn how to use the equipment and become familiar with the structure of the class. If you have any injuries or limitations, it is very helpful to start with a private session or two to help you and your instructors know if you will need to modify exercises and what will help you get the most from group classes.

Do you offer beginner classes?

Our small group classes are all-levels and our qualified instructors can help beginners modify any exercises as needed. We offer Pilates Fundamentals and Release + Restore classes as beginner-level and slower-paced classes. If you would like to get a beginner introduction to Pilates Reformer workouts before signing up for a class, contact us to schedule a one-on- one consultation session.

Do you accept health insurance debit cards?

Do you accept worker’s compensation?

Can I do Pilates?

And yes you can do Pilates even if you aren’t flexible! Pilates will help you increase your flexibility, no matter what your starting point is.

How do I sign up for a class?

There are two ways to sign up for a group class: our website, and the Mindbody app.

How does the waitlist work?

All classes have a six person waitlist available for any classes that are full. You will get notified via text or email (depending on your account settings) if you get off the waitlist and into the class. The waitlist locks six hours before class starts. Please note that you may get off the waitlist overnight. Please be prepared to come to a class or take yourself off the waitlist. If you get off the waitlist and you don’t attend class you will be charged per our late cancel policy.

You are able to add yourself to multiple waitlists on the same day. If you get into a class, we ask that you take yourself off the other waitlists. If you get into multiple classes and don’t cancel prior to six hours before the class starts then you will be charged for the classes that you don’t attend.

How do I know my waitlist position?

Using the Mindbody app, log into your account, click on the class you are waitlisted for and you’ll find your waitlist position at the top of the page.

How do I redeem a gift certificate?

There are two ways to purchase a gift certificate: in-person from the studio, or through the online boutique. To redeem a gift certificate purchased in-person you can contact the studio directly. To redeem a gift certificate purchased online (received via email or a print out) you can use this in-studio or when you purchase a class or package through the Mindbody app. You will need the ID number on the gift card to complete the purchase.

Can I have my cell phone with me during class?

To maintain a distraction-free environment, we as that you refrain from using or checking your cell phone during classes. Please properly store your cell phone in a locker, or keep your phone on silent during class.

Can I use my earbuds/headphones during class?

The use of earbuds or headphones is strictly prohibited during Pilates classes and sessions. Engaging in the class without auditory distractions enhances your mindfulness, focus and safety. Eliminating personal audio allows all participants to fully connect with the instructor’s guidance and the class environment.

What should I do about my class or session if I feel sick?

You will not be charged for your class or session if you contact us prior to your scheduled class or session to cancel due to an illness.
