Michaela’s Organic Guilt-Free Nutella Recipe!

Ok Nutella lovers; who knew our fabulous Michaela was also a chef! Here is her recipe for all organic, guilt-free Nutella!fullsizerender-6

Ingredients:

1 cup Organic Hazelnuts

3 Oz. Organic, 80% Cacao Dark Chocolate

2 Tbs. Flaxseed Oil

2 Tbs. Organic Confectioner’s Sugar

2 Tbs. Organic, Unsweetened Cocoa Powder

1/2 Tsp. Vanilla Extract

3/4 Tsp. Sea Salt

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 Degrees

Step 2: Bake hazelnuts, evenly spread on a baking sheet for 12-15 minutes until slightly golden.  In the meantime, melt the dark chocolate on the stovetop over simmering water and stir until smooth. Let both the hazelnuts and the chocolate cool completely.

Step 3: In a food processor, pulse hazelnuts until they form a thick paste.  Add the oil, sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla, and salt.  Continue processing until mixture is blended well.

Step 4: Add the melted Chocolate and then blend again until smooth.

The Nutella will seem a bit thin, and that’s okay!  Pour the Nutella into a jar and allow to thicken as it cools.  Your homemade Nutella will last up to two weeks and is fine stored on the countertop!
